Antelope Island AdventuresR&G Horse and Wagon R & G Horse and Wagon offers exclusive horseback trail rides in historic Antelope Island State Park, a 28,000-acre island in the Great Salt Lake. The island itself was once in private ownership and included a working ranch, the Fielding Garr Ranch. It was subsequently purchased by the State of Utah and is now part of the Utah State Park system. Let our experienced wranglers show you the Island’s beauty up close. Spot Mule Deer, Antelope, and Bighorn Sheep and most of all its herd of American Bison. Coyotes and some Bobcats are also seen on the Island. Innumerable birds use the Island and the surrounding Great Salt Lake during summer and migration. Wildflowers abound in the summer. We have a horse for every level of riding. Children eight years old and older are welcome. NO ONE under 6 years of age and no double riding. We will make arrangments for children under 8 - be sure to mention this to your reservationist. Tours are available all year. Join us for a special evening Sunset Ride available daily from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Antelope Island State Park. With an experienced outfitter, you will have the chance to see Antelope Island at dusk when the wildlife are most active and the sunsets are incredible. Enjoy the sunset to the west overlooking the western part of the Great Salt Lake and then on your return, take in the incredible views of the lights of the Wasatch Front reflecting in the Great Salt Lake. To enjoy this ride, you need to be 14 years or older and have had some experience riding. RESERVATIONS NEED TO BE MADE AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. The hours will adjust according to the season. Cost: 1 hour - $47.93 per person. 1.5 hour - $69.23 per person 2 hour - $95.85 per person Group tours available upon request.
