Davis County was mostly farmland until after World War II, when it became much more industrial. Today you can still find a few agricultural establishments, but most have been developed into residential areas.

Layton is the largest city, followed by Bountiful, Clearfield and Kaysville. All the other cities have less than 20,000 residents.
